Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate anti-skid control by changing a reference wheel speed to a wheel speed value at the time of starting a skid cycle immediately before when the pressure reintensifying amount of brake fluid pressure detected by detecting means is more than a preset value. CONSTITUTION:An anti-skid control device is adapted to take a wheel speed value on a designated gradient decided by a reference gradient deciding portion 100 according to this time wheel speed and preceding reference wheel speed at the time of starting a skid cycle when a wheel has a tendency to lock as an artificial car velocity at an arithmetic portion 200, reduce the brake fluid pressure of a wheel having a slip relation thereto and reintensify the pressure when it returns to a normal condition. The pressure reintensifying amount by each skid cycle is detected by a detecting portion 300, and when the detection value becomes more than a preset value, the reference wheel velocity is changed to a wheel speed value at the time of starting a skid cycle immediately before. Thus, even in case of moving a road having a low coefficient (mu) of surface friction to a high (mu) road, that is, even if the pressure reintensifying amount becomes more than a preset value, the artificial car velocity can be approximated to the actual car velocity so as to accomplish accurate anti-skid control.
