CONSTITUTION:A brake release signal (g) is outputted in a step 12 in accordance with the optimum slip ratio calculated in a step 8. Wheel speed e=Vn calculated in a step 13 and time Tn are memorized in a step 19. Whether a wheel is being accelerated or not is judged in a step 14 and an acceleration (alpha) is calculated in a step 20. In a step 21 is obtained an optimum slip ratio Salpha based on the acceleration (alpha). In a step 15 is calculated a slip ratio (S) of the wheel, which is compared with the optimum slip ratio in a step 16, and a brake is activated in a step 17. Thus, not only the timing for releasing the brake but also that for applying it are controlled with the optimum slip ratio to improve the accuracy of antiskid control.
