Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the reuse easy, secure and repeatable by providing both movable and fixed contact points with a magnet and by constituting the movable contact point to be actuated by the action of a shape memory alloy which deforms at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:In the case a current flows in an electric appliance provided with a fuse in a steady state, the current flows through both contact points 8, 9 as the fixed contact point 8 and the movable contact point 9 are securely mated with the attractive force of magnets 6, 7. when a current larger than a specified value flows through the fuse, the temperature of a coil-shaped shape memory alloy 5 reaches a deformation temperature, said alloy 5 contracts and, overcoming the attractive forces of the magnets 6, 7, removes the movable contact point 9 from the fixed contact point 8 to break a circuit.
