Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily replace a protective device when a current fuse is melted by connecting the current fuse in series with both a coil of an electromagnetic clutch and a temperature switch that is connected in parallel with this coil. CONSTITUTION:A protective device of a compressor is provided with a bimetal temperature switch 6a that is connected in parallel with a coil 1a of an electromagnetic clutch. This switch 6a turns ON when the temperature of the discharge chamber of a compressor becomes higher than the preset temperature. A current fuse 7 is connected in series with a coil 1a of the electromagnetic clutch and a bimetal temperature switch 6a. When the temperature in the discharge chamber of the compressor rises to turn the bimetal temperature switch 6a ON, the current fuse 7 metals instantly.
