Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a higher operation efficiency in the distribution of numerous samples, by sequentially controlling the position of a sample tray, on which sample cups are placed in such a manner as to position trains thereof below a locus of turning of a sample distribution nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A sample tray 38 on which numerous sample cups 39 are arranged in a matrix is provided rotatably in the directions X and Y and in the direction of the arrow 44 while a reaction disc 34 is arranged with a number of reaction containers 36 on the circumference thereof. A holding arm 18 having a sample distribution nozzle at the tip thereof is arranged between the sample tray 38 and the reaction disc 34 in such a manner as to rotate freely on a line 41. When a sample is distributed to the reaction container 36 from a sample tray 38, the sample tray 38 is driven sequentially in the directions X and Y and in the direction of the arrow 44 and so controlled that one horizontal row of the sample cups match the line 41 sequentially. Thus, samples of the sample cups in the corresponding row are distributed sequentially to the reaction container 36 with the nozzle.
