Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid large-scaled apparatus, to reduce gas consumption and to produce a product having suitable size to high density magnetic recorder by reacting reaction gas under the specific reduced metal superfine powder by gas phase chemical reaction method. CONSTITUTION:At the time of producing the magnetized metal superfine powder by chemical-reacting vapor of one or more kinds of the magnetized metal compounds, the reaction gas is reacted under the reduced pressure at 50-600Torr. By this method, the gas consumption for obtaining the magnetized metal superfine powder having the specific particle size can be reduced. Further, rapid cooling is easily executed and particle growth of the magnetized metal superfine powder is effectively restrained. In the case of <50Torr the reaction pressure, the diffusion speed of the magnetized metal compound is to fast, and the deposit stuck to the furnace wall face is increased. On the other hand, in the case of >800Torr the reaction pressure, the gas consumption can be reduced only by a little, compared with increasing cost of the apparatus for obtaining reducing pressure and control of particle size of the superfine powder is not so facilitated.
