Abstract

PURPOSE:To have good graininess and sharpness and manufacture high converting panel of converting sensibility of radiation picture image by forming a stimulable phosphor base layer and diffusing and adding an activating agent in said layer thereby forming the stimulable phosphor layer. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a resistance heating method is applied as a gaseous phase accumulating method, at first an activating agent and a stimulable phosphor base layer which is an evaporating source body are fed in a resistance heaters 36, 37 respectively. Next, a support body 32 is set to face the evaporation source body. Inner gas is further evacuated and set at fixed degree of vacuum. The activating agent is heated and evaporated by the use of the resistance heater 36 the stimulable phosphor base layer is also heated and evaporated by the use of the heater 37 and evaporation is performed by the aid of a film thickness detector 35 after the evaporation is performed by controlling evaporating speed and evaporated thickness by the use of the film thickness detector 34. When heat treatment is performed by an electric furnace at fixed temperature on the above gaseous accumulating layers, the activating agent is uniformly diffused in the stimulable phosphor base layer, its sensibility is increased with heat treating time and high sesible panel is obtained as compared only with adding the activating agent on the evaporation at the same time.
