Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the temperature rise of a rotor uniform by providing conductors in slots with ventilating holes and by causing a cooling medium to flow through said holes.
CONSTITUTION: Rotor conductors 8 via turn insulations 7 are housed in slots 1 having subslots 1a, and the conductors 8 and slots 1 are isolated from each other by slot armors 9. Said conductors 8 are held by wedges via creepage blocks and vent slots 2 are provided with air wedges 12. Conductors 8 in slots 1 on the delay side from the center of a pole 4 toward the direction of rotation of a rotor and on the pole center side are provided with ventilating holes 13 so that a cooling medium may pass through said holes. Thus, #1, #2 slots and vicinity on the delay side toward the direction of rotation, which are the largest in the variation of a magnetic flux density and in a temperature rise, are cooled and said temperature rise is decreased so that the temperature rise of said rotor can be made uniform and its reliability is improved.
