For example, when a sea area or part of a body of water is separated by an embankment and used as a treatment plant where waste is thrown into the area, particularly harmful components of the waste may dissolve or mix with the water and permeate through the embankment and be released into the surrounding area. It must be ensured that there is no leakage. Conventionally, attempts have been made to drive steel sheet piles as a water-blocking means for the embankment body, but a complete water-blocking effect could not be expected due to the gaps at their joints. Therefore, by utilizing the fact that the synthetic resin sheet is impermeable to water and has flexibility, for example, as shown in Fig. The entire length of the embankment body 1 is covered with the synthetic resin sheets 5 by sequentially laying out the synthetic resin sheets 5 with their side edges slightly overlapping and connecting the overlapping parts. In this case, it is preferable to connect the overlapping parts by heat welding to prevent water or sewage containing harmful components from leaking out, but the parts submerged in water on the landfill side are not welded. However, a complete water-blocking effect cannot still be expected. Furthermore, it has been considered to use an adhesive or a connecting device as a means of connecting the synthetic resin sheet 5, but the former has the risk of peeling off due to the weight of the waste and loses water-tightness, and the latter has watertightness. Therefore, it is unsuitable for use as an embankment body for waste treatment. Furthermore, it is extremely troublesome to have to repeatedly pull down a synthetic resin sheet of a predetermined length along the slope from the narrow top toward the bottom of the water.

That is, the construction method of laying a covering sheet on an embankment body according to the present invention makes it possible to remove a plurality of floats along one longitudinal side edge of a long, water-impermeable and flexible covering sheet. Attach the floats to the surface of the water and place the covering sheet parallel to the embankment with the float facing towards the embankment. The floats are placed almost on the slope of the embankment and the side edges of the covering sheet are placed above the ceiling. It is characterized by the fact that it is pulled up to the end, the float is removed, and the covering sheet is placed along the top, slope, and bottom of the water.

The covering sheet 11 has a thickness of 1 to 10 mm and a width of 2 to 10 mm, for example.
10 m, and a length of about 50 to 100 m. If necessary, a band 12 made of vinyl chloride resin sheets with a reinforcing layer made of a braided material is sequentially connected in the width direction to make a predetermined width, and is made water impermeable and flexible. It has a sexual nature.

First, the barge 13 is floated on the water surface 6 of the water remaining on the reclaimed side of the embankment body 1, and the required number of boxes 14 in which the strips 12 are folded and stored are placed on the longitudinal side of the strips 12. They are installed at the end of the barge 13 so that their edges overlap each other by about 10 to 20 cm. The band 12 is pulled out from the box 14 onto the barge 13, and the overlapping portions are successively welded by heat melting and pressure bonding to an appropriate width to form the covering sheet 11.

Attachment rings 15 are provided at appropriate intervals on one side edge in the longitudinal direction of this covering sheet 11, and after attaching floats 16 to the attachment rings 15 at appropriate intervals on the barge 13, The covering sheet 11 is thrown into the water from the opposite end, and the side edge portion where the float 16 is attached is floated to the water surface 6 by its buoyancy, and the covering sheet 11 made by the barge 13 is spread out in the water. It becomes.

The above-mentioned work is carried out at a location close to the embankment body 1, and the covering sheet 11 is made parallel to the embankment body 1 by fixing the leading edge of the covering sheet 11 or floating it freely and moving the barge 13. In addition, the float 16 is extended toward the embankment body 1. If the belt 12 runs out on the way, use a new belt 12.
is placed in a box 14, and the front and rear edges are connected to each other by welding to form one long belt-shaped covering sheet 11 over a predetermined laying section.

Next, when the work of putting the covering sheet 11 into the water over a predetermined section is completed, as shown in FIG. The float 16 is brought close to the slope of the embankment body 1 (Fig. 4), and then the side edge is pulled and the float 16 is pulled up together with the float 16 above the water surface of the slope 3 and along the top edge 2 (Fig. 4). 5), the float 16 is removed after this side edge is fixed to the top 2, and since the covering sheet 11 is sinking under its own weight, it sinks along the slope 3 and bottom 4 below the water surface 6. (Figure 6).

The covering sheet 11 is made to have a width equal to the slope length of the slope 3 plus the appropriate lengths of the top 2 and the bottom 4, and when the embankment body 1 is low and the slope 3 is steeply sloped, It is possible to use a single wide band made in advance without connecting the band 12 in the width direction. In addition, when the embankment body 1 is constructed to completely surround the reclaimed side, both front and rear edges of the covering sheet 11 are once raised above the water surface 6 and welded to each other to make it watertight, and then subsidence is laid along the slope surface 3. I do. Furthermore, the work of welding the strips 12 to form the covering sheet 11 may be carried out on a workbench protruding from the embankment body 1 or on land, and when carried out on a barge 13, this barge 13 may be The covering sheet 11 may be spread underwater by fixing the covering sheet 11 and pulling and moving the leading edge of the covering sheet 11 with an appropriate boat.

As described above, according to the present invention, a float is attached to one side edge and a long covering sheet is placed parallel to the embankment body with the float floating on the water surface, so the covering sheet can be moved as needed. Not only is it easy to move the float, but it can also be pulled up to the top by bringing the float close to the slope and easily catching the side edge of the float. The cover sheet, which has been submerged almost firmly in the water due to its own weight, is laid down along the slope in close contact with the slope when it is pulled up to the top. Therefore, by preparing a water-impermeable covering sheet in advance, the troublesome work of sequentially connecting it after installation is not necessary, and the disadvantage of incomplete water-blocking properties is also eliminated, and it is especially effective against water containing harmful substances. It is suitable as a pollution prevention measure for embankments of waste treatment plants where wastewater and sewage flows into surrounding water bodies.
