For example, when a sea area or a part of a body of water is divided by an embankment and used as a treatment plant where waste is thrown into the area, particularly harmful components of the waste dissolve or mix with the water and permeate through the embankment and surround the area. It must be ensured that no leakage occurs. Previous attempts have been made to drive steel sheet piles into the embankment as a means of blocking water, but because there are gaps at the joints, a complete water blocking effect could not be expected. Therefore, by utilizing the fact that the synthetic resin sheet is impermeable to water and has flexibility, for example, as shown in Fig. The entire length of the embankment body 1 is covered with the synthetic resin sheets 5 by sequentially laying out the synthetic resin sheets 5 with their side edges slightly overlapping each other and connecting the overlapping parts. . In this case, in order to prevent water and sewage containing harmful components from leaking and flowing out, it is preferable to connect the overlapping portions by heat welding. Since this part cannot be welded, a complete water-shielding effect cannot still be expected. Furthermore,
It has been considered to use adhesives or connecting devices as a means of connecting the synthetic resin sheets, but the former is likely to peel off due to the weight of the dumped material and lose water-tightness, and the latter is not watertight. Therefore, it is unsuitable for embankments for waste treatment. Furthermore, it is extremely troublesome to have to repeatedly pull down a synthetic resin sheet of a predetermined length along the slope from the narrow top toward the bottom of the water.

That is, the method of laying a covering sheet on an embankment body according to the present invention includes removably attaching a plurality of floats to one side edge of a long, water-impermeable and flexible covering sheet in the longitudinal direction. At the same time, a plurality of floats are removably attached leaving an extra width on the other side edge facing in the longitudinal direction, and the coating sheet is floated on the water surface by these floats and placed parallel to the embankment body. Then, the float on the extra width side is brought to shore on the slope of the embankment body, and the extra width section is pulled up along the slope above the water surface and along the top edge.Then, the float is removed and placed on the slope below the water surface and on the water bottom. The feature is that the covering sheet is made to sink.

The covering sheet 11 has a thickness of 1 to 10 mm and a width of 2 to 10 mm, for example.
10 m, and a length of about 50 to 100 m. If necessary, a band 12 made of vinyl chloride resin sheets with a reinforcing layer made of a braided material is sequentially connected in the width direction to make a predetermined width, and is made water impermeable and flexible. It has a sexual nature.

First, the barge 13 is floated on the water surface 6 of the water remaining on the reclaimed side of the embankment body 1, and the required number of boxes 14 in which the strips 12 are folded and stored are placed on the longitudinal side of the strips 12. They are installed at the end of the barge 13 so that their edges overlap each other by about 10 to 20 cm. The band 12 is pulled out from the box 14 onto the barge 13, and the overlapping portions are successively welded by heat melting and pressure bonding to an appropriate width to form the covering sheet 11.

The above-mentioned work is performed at a location close to the embankment body 1, and the barge 13 is moored and fixed at one location to spread the covering sheet 11 parallel to the embankment body 1. When the strip 12 runs out on the way, a new strip 12 is placed in the box 14, and the front and rear edges are connected to each other by welding to form one long strip-shaped covering sheet 11 over a predetermined installation section. do.

Next, when the work of floating the covering sheet 11 to the water surface 6 is completed, the covering sheet 11 approaching and floating parallel to the embankment body 1 as shown in FIG.
Pull the side edge of the extra width part 21 side to the embankment body 1, bring the float 17 almost to the slope 3 of the embankment body 1 (Fig. 4), and move the extra width part 21 above the water surface of the slope face 3. and along the top edge 2 (Fig. 5), and this extra width part 2
1 to the top end 2, the floats 16, 17 are removed and the two rows of floats 16, 17 on the cover sheet 11 are fixed.
The part between them sinks under its own weight, and is laid down along the slope 3 below the water surface 6 and the water bottom 4 (Fig. 6).

The covering sheet 11 is made to have a width equal to the slope length of the slope 3 plus the appropriate lengths of the top 2 and the bottom 4, and when the embankment body 1 is low and the slope 3 is steeply sloped, It is possible to use a single wide band made in advance without connecting the band 12 in the width direction. Further, when the embankment body 1 is constructed to completely surround the reclaimed land side, the front and rear edges of the covering sheet 11 are welded together to make it watertight, and then the embankment is laid down along the slope 3. Furthermore, the work of welding the strips 12 to form the covering sheet 11 may be performed on a workbench protruding from the embankment body 1 or on land;
When this is done above, the leading edge of the covering sheet 11 may be fixed in one place and the barge 13 may be moved to float the covering sheet 11 on the water surface 6.

As described above, according to the present invention, the part laid above the water surface and the top of the slope is made to protrude to the side of the float as an extra width part, and the float is also attached to the opposite side edge to make a long Since the covering sheet is placed parallel to the embankment body with it almost completely floating on the water surface, it is not only easy to float the covering sheet on the water surface and move it as necessary, but also to remove the float on the extra width side. After docking on the surface and lifting the extra width along the slope above the water surface and the top, the float is removed and the cover sheet is lowered along the slope below the water surface and the bottom, so the cover sheet is on the top side. Depending on the state of the construction, it sinks and is laid in close contact with the slope. Therefore, by preparing a water-impermeable covering sheet in advance, the troublesome work of sequentially connecting it after laying it is not necessary, and the drawback of incomplete water-blocking properties is also eliminated, and especially water containing harmful substances can be avoided. It is suitable as a pollution prevention measure for embankments of waste treatment plants where wastewater and sewage flows into surrounding water bodies.
