Abstract

PURPOSE:To simultaneously make not only black contamination but also oil contamination of an object visible, by providing an illuminating device which has enlarged a visible range by radiating simultaneously an ultraviolet light containing plenty of short wavelength together with a visible light. CONSTITUTION:From an ultraviolet fluorescent lamp 4, a visible light and an ultraviolet light containing plenty of short wavelength are radiated simultaneously to an object 5, by which as for the visibility characteristic to the wavelength, a visible range B of the ultraviolet light increases against a visible range A of the visible light. Accordingly, the visible range is enlarged to A+B, and at the time of an image processing, black contamination 6 and oil contamination 7 become visible simultaneously, and a visual observation inspection is simplified.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, a lighting device using visible light of this kind is known to make black stains and oil stains on an object visible. Therefore, with this lighting device, visual work in various industries can be automated by using a video camera or the like as an image processing device and applying image processing technology. For example, it is extremely functional for defect inspection for inspecting the adhesion of scratches, dirt, or surface conditions, 1, ie, for automating the visual inspection of black dirt or oil stains on the object to be inspected.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, with such a lighting device, although it is possible to make black stains visible, it is also possible to make visible oil stains, which are 100% lighter than the black stains, at the same time as the black stains on the object. It wasn't enough to do that. The reason is that the visible range of visible light is small.
Therefore, visual inspection of oil stains requires a particularly sophisticated image processing device, which poses the problem of increased equipment costs.
