PURPOSE:To aim at smoothly opening and closing a door member and at surely closing the same, by energizing and deenergizing an electromagnet in accordance with the condition of the vehicle so that the attracting force of the electromagnet is suitably effected during opening and closing of the door member and during the closing of the same. CONSTITUTION:A door is closably journalled to an opening section 2 in a vehicle body 1. A roof flange 3 is formed in the upper part of the opening section, and a panel flange 4 is formed therein in the vicinity of the center section thereof. In this arrangement a water-tight seal 7 is attached to the roof flange 3, and an air-tight seal 8 is attached to the panel flange 4 through the intermediary of a trim 10. Further, an electromagnet 11 is attached to the inner surface of front end section 9 of the air-tight seal 8, and is connected in series an ignition switch 12 in a power source circuit 13. With this arrangement, when the electromagnet 11 is energized during opening and closing of the door 5 or during closing thereof, it is possible to smoothly open and close the door 5 and to surely close the door.
