Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable vibration in a wider range to be damped by arranging plural weights, each of which weighs different, within a housing where they are supported by an elastic member so that they can vibrate independently. CONSTITUTION:A rearview mirror 15 is fixed on a steering handle 11 of a vehicle, e.g. a motorcycle by way of a support arm 17 allowing a mirror 21 to be fitted in an opening 19a of a mirror housing 19. In this case, an elastic member 23 is held between the back of the mirror 21 and a housing inner sur face 19b allowing a weight device M to be enclosed compactly by the elastic member 23. This weight device M is composed of a support member 25 which is installed at the end of the housing 19 on the opposite side of the support arm 17, and of vibration members 27 (weights), each of which weighs different and is fixed to the side of the support member 25 at its end in a form of a cantilever. This configuration enables vibration in the wide range to be damped.
