Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to introduce a main engine without the latter being disassembled into blocks to enhance the efficiency of working, by extending a main engine mount upto a position just below a ceiling opening section through which the completely assembled main engine is installed on the main engine mount that is then horizontally moved to its mounting position. CONSTITUTION:A main engine mount 5 is provided with an extension 5' which extends to a position directly below the ceiling opening section 3 of an engine compartment. A completely assembled main engine 7 is introduced through the ceiling opening section 3 of the engine compartment, and then is mounted on the mount 5, 5'. Then, the main engine is horizontally moved to a predetermined mounting position. With this arrangement it is unnecessary that the main engine 7 is disassembled into blocks and then introduced into the inside of the ship where the main engine is reassembled. Thereby, the main engine may be installed directly in the ship in the completely assembled condition.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] When loading a ship's main machinery, it is recommended to do so in a completely assembled state, both from the standpoint of work efficiency and from the standpoint of maintaining the condition of the main machinery in a state where land trial runs have been completed. is also the most desirable. However, in the past, even if there was an opening in the machine room ceiling suitable for the size of the main machine, if it was not directly above the main machine installation stand, the main machine could not be directly suspended from the installation stand.

FIG. 2 shows a state in which the pole 10 is placed between the main machine 1 and the main machine mounting stand 5 on the tank top. The pole 10 is a steel plate 11 that becomes a rail on the installation stand 5. A pole holder attached to the lower surface of the main machine installation base 12 is sandwiched between steel plates 130.

Conventionally, even if there was an opening in the ceiling of the engine room that was large enough for the fully assembled main machine to pass through, if it was not directly above the main machine platform, the main machine that had completed its trial run would be disassembled and loaded. there was. However, according to the present method, there is no need to take such trouble even in the above case, and loading can be carried out without any damage to the condition of the main machine after the trial run is completed.
