Conventionally, among At alloys that generally belong to the JIS 5000 series, compositions containing Mg: 0.5 to 4.9%, Cr: 0.05 to 0.35%, with the remainder consisting of At and inevitable impurities. At alloys (hereinafter referred to as conventional At alloys) have relatively good corrosion resistance, excellent formability and weldability, and medium strength. It is used in a variety of fields, and is particularly widely used in the construction of ships and the like because it has excellent seawater corrosion resistance.

The reason why the above-mentioned conventional At alloy shows good corrosion resistance in a neutral environment such as seawater is due to the formation of a strong natural oxide film peculiar to A,/,-Mg based alloys on its surface.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional At alloy, if impurities and mechanical scratches that are unavoidably contained in the above-mentioned natural oxide film and defects that frequently occur during heat treatment are present,
These existing portions are selectively and actively dissolved, and as a result, significant local corrosion, that is, pitting corrosion, often occurs.

In particular, the tendency for pitting corrosion to occur is particularly noticeable when heavy metal ions such as Cu ions are contained in the usage environment.

From the above-mentioned viewpoint, the present invention provides an A-7 alloy which has significantly improved pitting corrosion resistance while having the properties of the conventional A-7 alloy such as good formability, weldability, and mechanical properties. ff alloy, by co-containing Zn and Sn in the conventional At alloy, the excellent corrosion resistance of the natural oxide film formed on the surface of the conventional At alloy is reduced, and its corrosion form is improved. This A, ff alloy is an At alloy that is fully corroded, thereby completely suppressing the occurrence of local corrosion and pitting corrosion, and has the following properties: Mg: 0.5 to 4.9, Cr: 0 It is characterized by having a composition consisting of: 0.05 to 0.35'%, Zn: 0.1 to 1%, and Sn: 0.02 to 0.3%.

つぎに、この発明のAt合金において、成分組成範囲を
上記の通シに限定した理由を説明する。
Next, the reason why the composition range of the At alloy of the present invention is limited to the above-mentioned range will be explained.

(a) Mg The Mg component has the effect of improving the corrosion resistance, formability, and strength of the alloy by forming a solid solution in the base material, but if its content is less than 0.5%, the desired effect is not achieved. On the other hand, if the content exceeds 4.9, hot workability will deteriorate and cracks will easily occur, so the content should be reduced to 0.

(b) Cr The Cr component has the effect of combining with At to form an A,ff-Cr compound, finely precipitating on the substrate, refining the crystal grains, and thereby improving the formability and strength of the alloy. However, if the content is less than 0.05%, the desired effect cannot be obtained, while if the content exceeds 3s%, the AlCr compound becomes coarse and processability deteriorates. Since the content will decrease from 0.05 to
It was set as 0.35 section.

(c) Zn and Sn These components have the effect of significantly improving the pitting corrosion resistance of the alloy when both are contained together.
Although the desired excellent pitting corrosion resistance cannot be ensured even if either component of n and Sn is not contained,
Even if both components are contained, the content is Zn
If the content of Zn and Sn is less than 0.1% and if the content of Sn is less than 0.02%, the desired effect cannot be obtained.
n: If it exceeds 0.3%, uneven corrosion and pitting corrosion will occur again, the amount of corrosion will increase dramatically, and the moldability will also deteriorate. Therefore, the content of Zn: 0.1 to 1 fb
s Sn: determined to be 0.02 to 0.3.
