Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the safety in travelling and stoppage by detecting the cycle speed and the cycle height and inputting said values into the fluid feeding and discharging valve control part for controlling the cushion unit for varying the distance between an axle and a chassis, so that the height of a cycle may be reduced during stoppage and increased during travelling. CONSTITUTION:A cycle speed sensor 27 detects the cycle speed, and when the cycle speed is below the set value, the control part 22 opens a solenoid valve 14. Then, the air in a cushion unit 10 and valves 10 and 12 is discharged from an air opening port 19 to reduce the cycle height. Then, high and low cycle height sensors 20 and 20' contract to the low cycle height position, and the valve 14 is closed through the control part 22, and the cycle is maintained at low position. When the cycle speed 27 becomes above the set value in travelling, a valve 13 is opened through the control part 22, and the cushion unit 10 is extended, and the cycle height is increased. When the cycle height set high is detected, the valve 13 is closed through the control part 22, and the cycle height is maintained at high position. Thus, the safety in travelling and stoppage can be improved by facilitating getting on and off the cycle.

Before starting a motorcycle or when stopping at an intersection, the driver of a motorcycle assumes a stopping position with his or her feet in contact with the road surface. For this reason, it is better to keep the vehicle height as low as possible, but it is desirable to have it a certain degree higher when driving in terms of driving stability. The present invention has been made in view of this point, and is designed to automatically change the vehicle height of a motorcycle.

A near compressor 15 is mounted on the body frame 2 and is driven by an engine or a motor mounted on the body frame 2 and rotated by a battery, which constantly supplies compressed air at a constant pressure to an air tank 17 connected to a pipe 16. I'm told to save it. The air tank 17 is connected to the inlet side of the solenoid pulp 13 by a pipe 18. With this connection, compressed air from the air tank 17 is supplied to the cushion unit 10 and the solenoid pulp 14 when the solenoid pulp 13 is opened. Furthermore, the solenoid pulp 14 is provided with an air opening 19.

The front wheel 5 has rectangular teeth 25 engraved over the entire W4, and a mourning gear 26 is attached thereto so that the front wheel 5 rotates once integrally with the front wheel 5. A vehicle speed sensor 27 is provided near the outer edge of the vehicle 26. This vehicle speed sensor 27 detects the vehicle speed by counting the teeth 25 (Da) of the rotating gear 26.The output signal thereof is given to the control unit 22 by the electric current 1i28.

(f'i is the speed WE when it is thought to be stopped) When the following conditions are met, K maintains the low vehicle height set by the low vehicle height sensor 20', thereby improving the driver's footing and ensuring that the vehicle speed is higher than the set speed. In this case, a high vehicle height sensor 20 is used to maintain a good vehicle height and obtain minimum ground clearance, bank angle, etc.

The control unit 22tj issues a command to open the renoid valve 14. From this point, the solenoid pulp 14 releases the air in the cushion unit 10 and the pipes 11 and 12 to the atmosphere through the atmosphere opening 19, thereby lowering the vehicle height.

Since lowering the vehicle height means that the cushion unit 1G contracts, the high/low vehicle height sensor 2a20 also contracts, and a signal commensurate with the contraction 1iK is given to the control unit 22. When the vehicle height drops to the height set by the vehicle height sensor 20, the solenoid pulp 14 closes in response to a command from the control section 22. From this K, the vehicle height is maintained at that position.

When the solenoid pulp 13 opens, the compressed air stored in the air tank 17 is released from the pipe 18. It is applied to the cushion unit lO through lλ11, and by extending it, the vehicle height is increased. In this case, high vehicle height sensor 2
When the vehicle rises to the vehicle height set at 0, the solenoid pulp 13 closes, and the higher vehicle height is maintained.

In the embodiment described above, two vehicle height sensors, the high vehicle height sensor 20 and the low vehicle height sensor 20', are used, but it is also possible to use only one vehicle height sensor, that is,
Cushion: Use a cushion with both a coil spring and an air spring as L = 10, and set the lower car and horse position to the cushion (22) 1G, and the air pressure in 1G is atmospheric pressure, and it is supported only by the coil spring. The low vehicle height sensor 20 becomes unnecessary due to the setting deviation d1 in the position.
