Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the assembling work of a print head easier by maintaining such a condition wherein the rear end of a needle tends to move away from an armature by making an arrangement so that a supporting body which supports one end of a needle spring is allowed to advance toward the side of a platen at the time of assemblage of the print head. CONSTITUTION:A disk-like spring supporting body 20 which supports one end of a needle spring 13 is held by a guide holder 8 to be freely slidable in the longitudinal direction, and the supporting body 20 is caused to advance toward the side of a platen 18 in assembling an armature 5 and a stopper 6. The assemblage of these components can be easily accomplished since the top end of a needle 10 doesn't come off a guide 11 at this advanced position B' and moreover its rear end is located ahead of the attractive position A of the armature 5. Lastly, the supporting body 20 is moved to a retreat position B and fixed by a retaining ring 21 housed in a groove 22. By the above composition, a needle spring of which spring constant is small can be used and it can be driven by an electromagnet of small capacity.
