Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of gas explosion by providing in a gas passage a solenoid valve connected to a gas-leakage sensor and an earthquake sensor, and closing the gas passage immediately when leakage of gas or an earthquake is detected. CONSTITUTION:An earthquake sensor ES and a gas-leakage sensor GS having an alarm B attached thereto are connected to a solenoid valve SOL disposed in a gas passage by the intermediary of a first and a second relays RY1, RY2. When leakage of gas takes place, it is detected by the sensor GS and alarm is given from an alarm B. At the same time, relays RY1, RY2 are set into operation for closing the gas passage instantaneously by means of the solenoid valve SOL. Similarly, when an earthquake takes place, the gas passage is closed in the same way.
