Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at reducing the cost of a safety shut-off valve having an automatic gas-leak detector and as well to enable an alarm to be issued, by substituting a diaphragm valve for one of two solenoid valves and by adding an alarming switch to the shut-off valve. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 13 is disposed in a communication passage 12a for returning fluid to a first chamber 2 from a second chamber 3 into which the fluid is delivered under pressure from a pump 1, and a diaphragm valve 14 is disposed in a communication passage 12b. The solenoid valve 13 opens the associated communication passage 12a for releasing fluid pressure in the second chamber 3 since a detection control circuit 23 delivers a drive signal SG2 to the solenoid valve 13 when a shut-off signal SS is given due to the occurrence of any abnormality. Therefore, a responding member 4 ascends until a valve member 6 is brought in press-contact with a valve seat 10, so that the supply of gas to an output passage 9 is shut-off after a predetermined delay time is elapsed and an auxiliary diaphragm 33 is also closed. Further, a sequential circuit 22 issues an alarm signal AL due to the actuation of a switch 37 arranged below the valve member 6 in association with the existence of a releasing signal OS.
