Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to automatically discharge drain collected in a reservoir tank, by employing such an arrangement that a solenoid valve provided in a drain pipe connected to the reservoir tank is opened and closed in response to the output signal of a drain level sensor disposed in the reservoir tank which is communicated to an oil separator and stores therein water and oil. CONSTITUTION:A reservoir tank 12 for storing water and oil is connected to an oil separator 2 via an upper pipe 10 and a lower pipe 11, and a water level sensor 16 for detecting the level of drain 6 furnished from the lower pipe 11 is provided in the reservoir tank 12. Here, a solenoid valve 14 is opened for discharging drain in response to a valve opening signal D when a water detecting signal W given from a water-level detecting circuit 17 is turned ON, and then the valve 14 is closed. Subsequently, after passing of a certain time T2 required to attenuate fluctuation of the levels of oil 5 and drain 6 in the tank 12 and oil separator 2, drain discharging operation is carried out in the same way through judgement of the water detecting signal W given from the circuit 17. Thus, it is enabled to discharge drain in a reliable manner.
