Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the output of an engine by providing a lead valve adjacent to a cylinder bore in an intake path of the engine and making the cylinder bore side of the lead valve conform to the cylinder bore.
CONSTITUTION: A lead valve 1 is provided adjacent to a cylinder bore 8. The cylinder bore 8 side of the lead valve 1 is made polygonal along the cylinder bore. Since a dead space in an intake path becomes small, compression effect of intake in a crank chamber when a piston is descended can be increased. Thus, the output of an engine can be improved. Further, a carbureter can be installed closer to the cylinder by the displacement of the lead valve toward the cylinder bore to reduce resistance of the intake path so that the response of the intake system can be improved.
