Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition with good adhesion to a polar material, by mixing a moldified PP prepd. by the melt kneading of PP, an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an org. peroxide with an ethylene-α-olefin random copolymer and then subjecting the resulting mixt. to heat treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A modified PP conposition is obtd. by mixing 90W50pts.wt. modified PP obtd. by the melt kneading of a mixt. consisting of 100pts.wt. PP 0.05W 5pts.wt. unsaturated carboxylic acid or a deriv. thereof such as maleic anhydride and 0.01W1pts.wt. org. peroxide such as benzoyl peroxide with 10W50pts.wt. ethylene- α-olefin random copolymer such as ethylene-propylene random copolmer and then subjecting the resulting mixt. to heat treatment at 60°C. The composition can be obtd. at a low cost by a simple operation and has good adhesion to a polar material such as polyester, glass or metal.
