Abstract
PURPOSE: To develop a waste water-purifying installation excellent in purification efficiency at the lower execution cost, when waste water is purified in a lofty building, by arranging a deep-layer aeration vessel having an effective depth nearly the same as the substantial whole height of the building inside the building.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft having nearly the same height as that of a lofty building is arranged inside the lofty building, and a deep-layer aeration vessel is located inside the shaft. The deep-layer aeration vessel is constructed by a downward flow chamber 4, and upward flow chamber 5, a downside treatment chamber 6, a sludge- precipitating vessel 7 and a sluge-separating vessel 8. Waste water to be purified flows into a waste water vessel 10 at one time. The waste water is fed to the upper poriton of the downward flow chamber 4 by a pump 14, and compressed air is forcedly introduced into the waste water inside the downward flow chamber 4 through an air-feed pipe 16 by a blower 15 to aerate the waste water, so that the waste water is purified by action of active sludge. Thereafter, the purified water flows upwards through the downside treatment chamber 6, the sludge-procipitating vessele 7 and the upward flow chamber 5. The water is returned from the top end of the chamber 5 to the top end of the downward flow chamber 4 by a circulating pump 17, reaerated, and finally extracted from the upper portion of the upward flow chamber 5 through a drain pipe 19. Consequently, waste water purification can be simply performed without necessity of a huge underground installation.
