Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid breakage of inner cylindrical pipe and a ground structure caused by diastrophism when an earthquake occurred by integrally connecting and supporting a cylindrical pipe to an outer pipe in such a state that relative horizontal movement is permitted against the ground structure.
CONSTITUTION: An outer cylindrical pipe 1 embedded deeply into ground is continuously connected to a water tank 2 as one example of a ground structure constructed on ground and, into the outer cylindrical pipe 1, an inner cylindrical pipe 4 having a head tank 3 continuously connected to the upper part thereof is inserted in such a condition that the lower end part thereof is positioned in the vicinity of the bottom part of the outer cylindrical pipe to form a connecting flow passage (r) between the lower end thereof and the bottom wall of the outer cylindrical pipe 1. Waste water is pumped up from a water tank 2 through a waste water pump 5 to be entered into the head tank 3 and recirculated and flowed from the downward flow passage R1 formed in the inner cylindrical pipe 4 over the upward flow passage R2 formed between the outer cylindrical pipe 1 and the inner cylindrical pipe 4 to constitute a deep tank for water treatment for treating waste water such as a sewage or excretion with activated sludge.
