CONSTITUTION:A wire for submerged arc welding of low temp. service steels contg. 0.02-0.08 C, 0.02-0.3 Si, 0.3-1 Mn, 0.01-0.3 Ti by wt%, satisfying the relation given by the equationI, and further consisting of 0.002-0.02 B, 5.5-8 Ni, <0.008 N2 and the balance Fe and unavoidable impurities. If welding is carried out by combining such welding wire with a high basicity welding flux of >=1.5 basicity expressed by the equation II, the higher effect is obtained.
