Abstract

PURPOSE:To disperse a subject to be emulsified extremely finely and agitate it uniformly by fixing external surfaces of plural disks to plural struts arranged on the inwall of a tank vertically and attching a driving axis to upper and lower strut connecting bars. CONSTITUTION:An emulsifier with the volume of about 20l is prepared, for example, for the emulsification of the mixture ovtained by adding B heavy oil, to which a surface active agent has been added formerly because the emulsification is comparatively diffcult, to 15% water, and rooms B1-B3 are uniformly formed through porous disks 4. The emulsifier is composed of disks 4, struts 6 and connecting bars 7 and the body of revolution in a cylindric tank 1 rotates centered by a driving axis 8 at about 1,250rpm. When B heavy oil and water are injected with pressure from feeding pipes 2 and 2', the lower bar 7 agitates the mixture in a lower room A1 and, when the mixture passes through holes of each disk, it receives storng shearing force and is turned and dispersed by the centrifugal force of the disk 4 in the direction of the inwall of the tank 1.
