Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a pressure-sensitive recording sheet with an improved pressure/developed color density characteristic by a structure wherein an applying layer containing barium sulfate is formed between base paper and an applying layer including microcapsules which incorporated minute oil droplets containing electron imparting organic developers. CONSTITUTION:An applying layer containing barium sulfate is formed between base paper and an applying layer including microcapsules which incorporate minute oil droplets into each of which are solved or dispersed electron imparting organic developers. The used microcapsules comprise minute capsules with the mean grain size of 1-20mum, each of which is composed of an oleaginous solution solved with basic colorless developers as the internal and a wall material coating the internal and formed of a high molecular substance which is insoluble with both aqueous and oleaginous solutions. As the developers are used crystal violet lactone, rhodamine B lactam, etc. which has such a property as permitting to give electrons and receiving protons such as acids to develop colors.
