Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the thermal recording type magnetic ticket paper which is excellent in anti-decoloring property and water-proof property and useful for a passenger ticket, a commutation ticket and the like by providing a coating layer comprising watersoluble resin and a water-proofing agent on the side of the color-forming layer of a supporting body provided with a magnetic recording layer and a thermal color-forming layer. CONSTITUTION:Ferromagnetic powder such as gamma-Fe2O3 and vinyl chloride resin, etc. are dispersed in a solvent and the solution thus prepared is applied on a paper supporting body and dried and thereby the magnetic recording layer is formed. On the other surface of the supporting body, a color-forming component consisting of colorless or lightly-colored leuco substance and of acid material forming the color of the leuco substance under heat and a binder are applied, whereby the thermal color-forming layer is provided. Further thereon water coating liquid for a coating layer formed of water-soluble resin such as polyvinyl alcohol and of the water- proofing agent such as formalin is applied, whereby the aqueous coating layer is formed.
