Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled compound useful as a raw material for synthesizing drugs, etc. economically, by reacting a strong acid salt of a phenylhydrazine compound with an oxacycloalkane-2-ol compound in an alcoholic type solvent.
CONSTITUTION: A strong acid salt of phenylhydrazine compound shown by the formulaI(R1 is H, alkyl, aryl, alalkyl; R2 is H, alkyl, aryl, alalkyl, alkoxyl, aryloxyl, alalkoxyl, halogen; R3 is H, alkyl) is reacted with an oxacycloalkane- 2-ol compound (preferably tetrahydrofuran ring, tetrahydropyran ring) shown by the formula II (n is 0 or 1) in an alcoholic type solvent preferably at 70W170°C, to give a compound shown by the formula III. The amount of the strong acid of the compound shown by the formulaIis preferably 1.3W3.0 times as much as that of the compound shown by the formula II.
USE: A raw material for indole derivatives, indole alkaloid derivatives, etc.
