Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable connections with different kinds of power sources without requiring adjustment by detecting which of power sources differing in rated voltage electric power is received from and by converting the voltage into a prescribed voltage before outputting it.
CONSTITUTION: When commercial power source 100V is connected between terminals 31 and 32, no current flows to Zener diode DZ at output voltage E1 of power receiving part 3 and transistors TR1 and TR2 are turned off and on respectively. Then a detection signal from terminal 9 of voltage detecting circuit 4 is held at L to turn on switch SW10 and voltage E1, while applied to driving part 12 of electric circuit part 1 as it is, charges charging circuit 11. When commercial power source 200V is connected, an electric current flows to DZ at output voltage E2 of power receiving part 3, the detection signal of circuit 4 is held at H to turn off SW10, and voltage dropping resistance R0 operates to lower output voltage E2 to E1, which while applied to driving part 12, charges circuit 11.
