By this light emission, a photothyristor SCR is turned on. Subsequently, when the input signal Vi comes not to be inputted, the carging current of the capacitor C1 flows to the base of a transistor TR1 through a base resistance R1, and the transistor TR1 is turned on. When it is turned on, the second light emission element LED2 emits light, a phototransistor Ph is turned on, the gate of the photothyristor SCR, and the cathode are short-circuited, therefore, the photothyristor SCR is turned off.
