Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain highly stabilized treated water by partitioning off a settling chamber from the aeration chamber of a sanitary sewage purifying tank with a flow circulating plate and providing an upper portion of the settling chamber with a disinfection chamber and an adsorption chamber to simultaneously perform the aeration, disinfection and adsorption treatment of sanitary sewage.
CONSTITUTION: Settling chamber 6 is partitioned off from aeration chamber 8 with flow circulating plate 7, and an upper portion of chamber 6 is provided with adsorption chamber 2 holding activated carbon and disinfection chamber 1 into which a disinfectant flows down from tube 22. Sanitary sewage is aerated in chamber 8 and enters chamber 6 after biological treatment. Inflow hole 20 of chamber 2 is always under the water surface even if scum and floating matter are formed on the surface, and the sewage is clarified by adsorption treatment with the carbon. The clarified sewage is then disinfected with the disinfectant in chamber 1 and flows out of discharge pipe 4. The resulting treated water has stable high quality.
