PURPOSE: To manufacture a high strength bolt steel with superior delayed rupture resistance by adding one or more among C, Si, Mn, B, Al and Ti to Fe and further adding Ge to prepare a specified composition.
CONSTITUTION: A high strength bolt steel is manufactured having a composition consisting of, by wt., one or more among 0.1W0.5% C, 0.1W0.8% Si, 0.5W1.8% Mn, 0,0005W0.005% B, 0.008W0.08% Al and 0.005W0.07% Ti, 0.001W0.5% Ge and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. One or more among 0.05W1.6% Cr, 0.05W2% Ni, 0,05W0.7% Mo, 0.05W0.5% Cu and 0.01W0.15% V may be added to the composition.
