Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a N-Cr-Co-Fe alloy with superior corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and strengh at high temp. by adding Co and N to a Cr≥30%-contg. Fe alloy to enhance the high temp. strength.
CONSTITUTION: The title alloy consists of C 0.01W0.5%, Si 0.05W3%, Mn 0.1W 3%, Cr 30W50%, Ni over 14W30%, Co 2W17% and N 0.005W0.5% as principal components, the following subsidiary components, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities: the subsidiary components are one or more out of Ti, Nb and Ta 0.01W 2%, Mo≤5%, W≤2.5%, B 0.001W0.2% and Zr 0.001W0.2%. By combining these elements the above-mentioned characteristics are shown, and the alloy is cheaper than 50Cr-50Ni alloy, can be refined in the air and gives a cast or forged alloy easy to hot work.
