Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat treatment type high strength Al alloy with satisfactory castability, high toughness and superior wear resistance by preparing an Al alloy contg. a specified percentage of Si, Cu, Zn, Mg and Sb.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy is prepared consisting of, by wt., 6W13% Si, 3W5.5% Cu, 1W4% Zn, 0.2W1% Mg, 0.03W1% Sb and the balance Al with impurities or further contg. ≥1 kinds among ≤1.5% Mn, ≤1.0% Cr, ≤2.5% Ni and ≤0.3% Ti as required. To the alloy may be added <0.05% B and ≤0.05% Be furthermore.
