PURPOSE:To charge into a blast furnace a hopper-stored raw material in accordance with the target number of chute rotation by a method wherein how much the flow-control valve to be opened at the next time is calculated by examining the past information data on the number of chute rotation accumulated at a constant rotational speed, and on the information how widely the same valve be opened at the preceeding time. CONSTITUTION:Hoppers 1, 1' are installed with detectors 11, 11' such as an acoustic detector capable of accurately measuring the time at which a base material is charged. A circumferential location detector 7 is used to detect the number of rotation of the rotary chute 14 during a time interval detected by the detectors 11, 11', and its pulse number is counted by the detector section B.
