Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the operation of a blast furnace, by adjusting the use amount of a fuel and preparing sintered ores having a preset content of FeO by the control of operating conditions based on the continuous measurement results of the FeO content.
CONSTITUTION: Sintered ores 5 are thrown into a continuous measuring device 2 for the FeO content. In this device, ores 5 are given a magnetic field from an electromagnetic coil 9 for imparting a magnetic field that is installed on the outer cylinder, and, as a result, a magnetic change corresponding to the FeO content is input from an electromagnetic coil 8 installed on the inner cylinder to a control device 3 as a measurement signal (a). Subsequently, the control device 3 compares the singnal a with the preset optimum FeO content (b) and then outputs a control output signal (c). The use amounts of a fuel and coke (d) and so on, are controlled on the basis of the signal (c) via a sintering condition control device 4 and thus sintered ores having a preset FeO content are prepared.
