Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable smooth and uniform electrospark machining of the corner part of a body to be machined as well by providing a servo-driving mechanism for two machining heads and a driving part for rotating a table. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd machining head 13 is fixed to the tip of the spindle 12 of the 1st machining head 11, which the 1st machining head support part 16 is supported rotatably by a driving part 17. A machining table 22 is fitted rotatably to a driving part 23, while the 1st and 2nd machining heads 11 and 13 and the driving part 23 for rotating the table are provided with a servo-driving mechanism. On condition that the feeding position of the 1st machining head 11 reaches the predetermined position, the 2nd machining head 13 and/or the machining table 22 is controlled and driven within the range set beforehand by the servo-driving mechanism and the setting of the angle of the feeding direction of a machining electrode 15 as well as the relative alignment of the machining electrode 15 with a body to be machined 10 are performed, thus the uniform electrospark machining being applied to the body 10 which has a corner part and is a metal mold for forming a tyre.
