Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the production of a type forming mold made of a single material and consisting of one block by changing the feed direction angle of the working electrode and replacing it with a working electrode having a predetermined shape to perform electrospark machining. CONSTITUTION:A working electrode 10 can be set at the electric discharge start reference position where electrospark machining starts. When a working head 12 is at rest, the working electrode 10 is fed by the control drive by a spindle 14 in the Z direction by a pulse motor 13' which controls the working head 13. Then to produce the lower mold 2 of a mold forming a type, the electrospark machining by the working electrode 10a in the direction of an arrow (a) and that by a working electrode 10b having replaced the former in the direction of an arrow (b) are repeatedly performed over the whole inner circumferential surface of a workpiece 2' by turning a working table 21. Thus, a type forming mold made of a single material and consisting of one block can be produced.
