Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform accurate centering and loading to the measuring rim by opening the centering roller of the centering device mounted on the top of the tire feeder connected to the side of the uniformity machine.
CONSTITUTION: Tire sent from the guide roller 44 is positioned accurately on the center line in contact with the stop lever 46. Then, the stop laver 46 is opened by the cylinder 49 and the tire is advanced to the position below the vertical center shaft of the centering device C. Here, the elevating frame 31 of the device C is lowered to bring down the centering roll 42 down close to the surface of the conveyor belt 15 and the roll 42 is opened by the cylinder 38 to push out the bead part. Thus, the tire is positioned accurately on the shaft center of the centering device C. Then, the tire is advanced to the uniformity machine A. This assures accurate centering and leading to the measuring rim.
