Abstract
862,582. Moulding-machines. BADISCHE MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. May 24, 1957 [May 26, 1956], No. 16582/57. Class 83 (1). A drag turnover station comprises a central turnover device, a leading roller conveyer, and a following roller conveyer arranged before and after the turnover device respectively, and adjustable into both horizontal and inclined positions, and controls operated by. a drag passing through the turnover device which control the passage of the drag and prevents entry of a further drag before-the drag in the turnover device has passed out. Drags are fed from the moulding-machine. on a roller conveyer 1 to a roller conveyer 3; which may then be tilted from the horizontal by a piston rod 4 to slide the drag on to a turnover device 10 cornprising rollers 12, 13, between which the drag is supported. The turnover device is rotatable through 180 degrees in a vertical plane by a pneumatically operated rack-and-pinion mechanism, and the inverted drags slide therefrom to a tilted conveyer 25 having driven rolls 31. The conveyer 25 is then brought into alignment with a horizontal conveyer 35 having driven rolls, on which the mould travels while cores are inserted &c. Solenoid valves and limit switches actuated by movement of the drag and tilting of the conveyers &c. control the sequential operation of the machine. The conveyers 3, 25 may be part of a turntable, the conveyers 1, 35 running transversely to the longitudinal axis of the turnover device 10, and may be carried on a lifting table so that, e.g., the conveyer 3 may be used to separate copes from drags, the copes being lifted to a conveyer at a high level.
