Abstract
PURPOSE:To operate the torque of only the bearing to be measured by holding a test journal box and a load jounal box in series by way of plural pieces of load bearings and an intermediate journal box holding these, and measuring the torque of the time when the intermediate journal box and the load journal box are secured to and spaced from each other by means of an attachable and detachable mechanism, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A supporting shaft 1 is mounted to a journal box 11 provided to a machine base by means of supporting bearings 12, 13, and a rotary driving source 14 is connected by way of a joint to one end side thereof and a supporting part 15 for attachably and detachably supporting a bearing 2 to be measured. A torque arm 4 is provided to the outside diameter part of a test journal box 3 provided to the outer race 21 of the bearing 2 so as to fit thereto, and the leading end side of this arm 4 is so constituted as to contact a force sensor 5. When a motor 14 is driven and load is applied to a load journal box 8 by load mechanism, the outer race 21 of the bearing 2 presses the sensor 5 by way of the torque arm 4 while being rotatabely displaced by friction, whereby the rotating torque is measured.
