Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize idling at a warming-up time by surely synchronizing the release of the idling-up device of an engine from operation with the start of operation of an exhaust gas recirculating device (EGR).
CONSTITUTION: A recirculating path 1 having an EGR control valve 3 is communicated with a suction manifold 2 and a part of exhaust gas is made to flow back therethrough. Into the negative-pressure chamber 32 of the control valve 3 is introduced suction negative pressure in the vicinity of a throttle valve 61 through the intermediary of a negative-pressure path 4 having a pressure-regulating valve 5. Moreover, a diaphragm device 7 performing the idling-up is made to contact with the throttle valve 61, while a negative-pressure path 24 led from the path 4 is opened in a negative-pressure chamber 71 communicated with the device 7. In the path 24 are arranged an orifice 32 which can be varied by the negative pressure of the manifold 2, a check valve 8 and further a temperature sensing valve 9 which opens at the temperature below a prescribed temperature and introduces the air. At the warming-up time, the valve 9 is opened to make the device 7 inactive and to close the valve body 31 of the control valve 3.
