Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively perform the suction of fuel component from absorbent upon supersharging operation, by leading purge gas to the upstream side of a turbocompressor upon supercharging operation so that the purge action of the absorbent may be assured even upon supercharging operation. CONSTITUTION:In a canister device 9' wherein an absorbent is densely charged between filters 21, 21, there is provided a control valve 23 for controlling the lead-out of purge gas containing therein fuel component separated from activated charcoal 22. The control valve 23 comprises a diaphragm 24 defining a control pressure chamber 26 and a gas chamber 27 within a casing 25, a first valve member 30 slidably fitted into a guide member 29 secured to the lower surface of the diaphragm 24 and a second rod-like valve member 32 inserted through the first valve member 30. When the diaphragm 24 is moved downward under control pressure which becomes negative upon supercharging operation, a first valve port 31 is closed and a second valve port 33 is opened, thereby the canister device 9' is operated so that the purge gas is led into the suction side of a compressor through a purge passage 34.
