Abstract
PURPOSE: To take out high-temperature combustion gas not containing cinder therein, by feeding granular substances continuously into a combustion chamber, and also feeding burning air into the combustion chamber in the manner of developing swirling air flow, so that the residue of combustion or cinder can be separated by the centrifugal force of the swirling air flow.
CONSTITUTION: A granular substance carrying means consisting of screw conveyors 4 is arranged at the bottom wall of a tubular combustion chamber 3, and a baffle plate 5 and a combustion gas discharging port 6 are disposed above the combustion chamber 3 at the central portion. Further, ports 15 directed tangentially of the inner wall surface of combustion chamber 3 are formed in the side wall 2 of the combustion chamber 3 which is shaped in the form of a corrugated cylinder, and ports 16 are formed in a partition plate 7 which is extended between the side wall 2 and an outer wall 1. When air is supplied from an air supply pipe 9 into a combustion air reserving chamber 8, cinder is separated centrifugally by the swirling gas flow and discharged to the outside from a cinder outlet port 12. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to take out high-temperature combustion gas, not containing solid cinder, from the exhaust port 6 and to utilize the same for drying grains or other purposes.
