Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the yield in the manufacture of color cathode ray tubes, by reutilizing light absorption matrixes. CONSTITUTION:A substandard product which was found to be defective on the final inspection after the formation of a methacrylate film is wetted with an aqueous solution of an oxidizing agent to oxidatively decompose the methacrylate film and organic high polymer in each luminous element, and the methacrylate film and each luminous element are removed by spraying demineralized water to obtain only light absorption matrix. Thus a light absorption matrix is reproduced easily.
