Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb vibrations of an engine in its whole rotation range by composing the engine mount with an elastic substance having low damping coefficient such as rubber and neumatic spring, and with a viscosity damper giving variable damping force in compliance with the rotation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In the vibration control range, valve 28 is in closed position and the working oil in a damper 11 or a oil conduit 23 is hindered from moving to another place. When a relative vibratory displacement takes place between a piston 17 and a cylinder 16, the working oil reciprocates between No.1 oil pressure chamber 18 and No.2 oil pressure chamber 19 with an orifice 20 interposed. In the vibration preventive range, on the other hand, a solenoid operated valve 33 is opened to apply suction pressure to an actuator 29 and open thereby the valve 28. The oil pressure chambers 18, 19 in the damper 11 are put into communication not only through the orifice 20 but also the oil conduit 23. Accordingly, the damper 11 will work little damping effect and damping action of the vibrations under this period is performed mainly by elastic substance 10.
