CONSTITUTION:Since a voltage responsive to a predetermined load voltage or a load current is presented in case of normal load, this voltage is applied to the control circuit CC. In case of load shortcircuit, a load voltage is lowered generally to zero, and the voltage between the secondary windings N2, N3 of the transformer generally becomes zero but the load current is increased. The load current is detected by a current transformer CT, applied to a rectifier Re2, converted to a desired voltage and applied to the control circuit CC. In case where the load is opened, the load current becomes very low, but high load voltage emerges between the load terminals L and L', and a voltage proportional to the voltage emerges between the secondary windings N2 and N3 of the transformer. Then, the voltage emerged at the detecting winding N3 is rectified and smoothed and applied to a control circuit CC.
