Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to keep constant electric power during voltage trailing even if a DC input voltage fluctuates by detecting the input current supplied to the primary side of a transformer by the peak current and by permitting the output voltage to trail when the input current exceeds a set value.
CONSTITUTION: Input current Iin supplied to the primary side of transformer T from DC electric power source DC is switched by switching transistor Q and the voltage across the secondary side of transformer T is rectified by rectifying diode D1 and applied to load RL. This secondary side voltage is detected by voltage detector VDET, whose detection output is applied to the base of TRQ by way of operational amplifier OPA2 and control circuit CONT, so that when the input current exceeds the set value, the output voltage will be permitted to trail. To the emitter of TRQ of this circuit, resistance R1 is connected and the voltage across this resistance R1 is applied to operational amplifier A1 via diode D2 for peak rectification to detect the peak current, TRQ is controlled to keep constant electric power when the Dc input voltage fluctuates.
