Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a hot-water supply system utilizing solar heat, which can be used in direct combination with bathtub, by supplying water at a rate corresponding with the quantity of available sun beam directly into a heat collector by use of the pressure of service water, with no need of a special circulation pump or a hot-water reserving tank.
CONSTITUTION: When insolation begins in the early morning, heat collector 1 is heated gradually and water in the heat collector 1 is heated resultantly. When temperature detector 6 disposed at an upper portion of heat collector 1 indicates a temperature higher than a predetermined value, ports (a) and (b) of three-way valve 7 connected to the detector 6 are communicated with each other by the function of controller 8. As the result, service water or tap water is supplied from water supply pipe 10 and forced upward in pipe 4 through check valve 11 and pressure-reducing valve 12. Then, water is introduced into heat collector 1 and heated therein. Hot water in heat collector 1 is supplied to bathtub 2 through hot-water supply pipe 5, valve 14 and water level controller 9. When the sun light becomes unavailable in the evening, changeover valve 7 is shifted by the function of temperature detector 6 and controller 8 to communicates ports (b) and (c) with each other, so that supply of hot water to bathtub 2 is stopped, and at the same time, water staying in heat collector 1 and pipe 4 is discharged to the outside.
